As a Founder's Office staff member at CallHub, you will be a key player in a new, entrepreneurial unit dedicated to a strategic growth area. Your primary focus will be supporting the Founder and leadership in conceptualizing, building, and launching an innovative solution designed to help campaign managers and organizers efficiently recruit, onboard, and manage their teams of agents. This initiative aims to address critical operational challenges in campaign organization, potentially extending to the fulfillment of agent activities. This role is distinct from teams working on CallHub's established core communication products, offering a unique opportunity to shape a new venture from the ground up.
To excel in this role, you must be exceptionally organized, proactive, and possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You should thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate an ability to quickly grasp new concepts related to agent and volunteer management, recruitment technologies, SaaS product development, the elections domain, and campaign strategies. Assimilating this knowledge and articulating your understanding with clarity and precision will be crucial.
Responsibilities :
- Liaise between the Founder, the new ventures unit, and internal teams, as well as external stakeholders such as advisors, potential technology partners, pilot users (campaign managers, organizers), and service providers.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the agent recruitment and management technology landscape , political and advocacy trends, competitor activities (especially in solutions for building and managing distributed field teams / volunteer networks), and potential market opportunities for this new unit.
- Coordinate strategic initiatives, special projects, and pilot programs.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the team involved in the new ventures unit, including managing project timelines, scheduling development and strategy meetings, and preparing materials for presentations and discussions.
- Assist with essential operational tasks for the new unit, such as defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for product development and market validation, generating progress reports, and organizing project-specific information and documentation.
- Actively participate in team-building and recruitment efforts for the new ventures unit as it grows.
- Stay informed about best practices for executive support in a startup-like environment, emerging trends in SaaS, and specifically within HR technology, volunteer management platforms, gig economy solutions, political technology (PoliTech), and advocacy tech.
- Support in deeply understanding user needs, organizing user interviews and gathering feedback directly from campaign managers and organizers regarding their challenges in recruiting, training, and managing agent / volunteer teams, to directly inform product development.
- Contribute to the ideation, product definition, planning, and go-to-market strategy for the new agent management solution.
Qualifications :
3+ months of internship experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ideally within an early-stage technology startup or a new product division.Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in an ambiguous environment.Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and professional correspondence and documentation for various audiences.A strong aptitude for learning and a keen interest in trying out and adopting new software products and technologiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.Bonus :
Direct experience in volunteer coordination, field organizing, or managing distributed teams / agents , especially within election campaigns or non-profit sectors.Familiarity with HR technology, applicant tracking systems (ATS), volunteer management software, or platforms for managing gig workers.Experience with the product development lifecycle, from ideation and user research to launch and iteration.Understanding of election campaign processes, non-profit operations, or advocacy strategies.Proven experience in project management, leading initiatives from conception to completion.Experience in team building or HR functions.Knowledge of data privacy and labor regulations relevant to agent / volunteer management.Desired Personality Traits :
