Azure Administrator L2 – Job Description

📌 Role Overview

The Azure Administrator L2 is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure services, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support escalations from L1 teams while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud resources.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Azure resources (VMs, storage accounts, networking, databases, etc.)
• Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and identity management
• Configure and manage Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers)
• Perform patching, updates, and routine maintenance of Azure workloads
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues escalated from L1 support
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, CLI, or ARM templates
• Ensure compliance with security policies and governance standards
• Collaborate with developers, security teams, and other IT staff to support cloud solutions
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
