Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for ensuring supplier quality compliance for mechanical components, focusing on Die Casting, Injection Moulding, and Plating parts.
Conduct supplier process audits, product inspections, and quality system evaluations.
Evaluate new suppliers and support supplier development activities to meet organizational standards.
Review and approve PPAP / APQP documentation and ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier non-conformities.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure proper usage and interpretation of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) in part drawings and inspection processes.
Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspection and dimensional validation of critical components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and production to resolve supplier quality issues.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation in line with ISO / IATF standards.
Willingness to travel to supplier locations for audits, inspections, and follow-ups as required.
Key Skills & Competencies :
Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes (die casting, injection moulding, plating, machining, etc.).
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments, CMM programming and understanding of CMM reports, and quality tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8 D).
Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Effective communication and supplier negotiation skills.
Proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently for supplier visits.
Experience : 3–5 Years
