Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP HANA Consultant to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will possess over 7 years of comprehensive experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on ABAP on HANA and S / 4HANA environments.

This role requires deep technical expertise in developing, optimizing, and supporting custom solutions, leveraging the full capabilities of the HANA database.

You will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust, high-performance applications that meet complex business requirements and integrate seamlessly with various SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP solutions on SAP HANA and S / 4HANA platforms, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Develop and optimize HANA-specific ABAP artifacts, including ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs), Core Data Services (CDS) views, and SQL Script.
Perform performance tuning and optimization of existing and new ABAP programs and database operations to leverage HANA capabilities effectively.
Develop and enhance RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects in various SAP modules (e.g, FI, CO, SD, MM, PP).
Design and implement interfaces using various technologies such as OData, REST / SOAP APIs, IDocs, and BAPIs for integration with internal and external systems.
Conduct thorough debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of complex technical issues in ABAP and HANA environments.
Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and translate functional specifications into technical designs.
Create detailed technical design documents, test plans, and release notes for developed solutions.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.
Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, including S / 4HANA innovations, Fiori applications, and cloud integration strategies.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise :

7+ years of extensive hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

Strong and demonstrable experience with ABAP on HANA development, including performance optimization techniques specific to HANA.

Expertise in developing and consuming ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs) and Core Data Services (CDS) views.

Proficiency in Open SQL enhancements and new ABAP syntax for HANA.

Extensive experience with various ABAP development objects (RICEF) : Reports, Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData), Conversions (LSMW, LTMC, BDC), Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots), Forms (Smartforms, Adobe Forms), and Workflows.

Solid understanding of performance tuning concepts and tools for ABAP and HANA database.

Familiarity with S / 4HANA concepts, simplified data model, and Fiori integration.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience with version control systems (Git) and SAP Solution Manager for change management.

Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

SAP ABAP or HANA-related certifications are a plus
