Position Responsibility summary :

Core Competencies

• Clinical Knowledge in :
• Oncology : understanding of chemotherapy protocols, drug interactions, and supportive care.
• Diabetes : insulin therapy, oral antidiabetics, patient adherence strategies.
• Obesity : pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, including GLP-1 receptor agonists like Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)
• IBD : biologics, immunomodulators, and the impact of obesity on drug pharmacokinetics.
• Prescription Review :
• Evaluate appropriateness, indication, legality, and safety of prescriptions.
• Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing errors
• Communication Skills :
• Ability to liaise effectively with physicians to clarify or recommend changes to prescriptions.
• Provide clear, empathetic counselling to patients and caregivers.
• Documentation & Compliance :
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, communications, and patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting protocols.
